John Bosco on target as U20 lions book semifinal spot

The U20 lions of Cameroon have beaten there counterparts of Congo Brazzaville 3#1, in a day two game of Pool B in the on going UNIFFAC tournament in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

PWD’s Midfielder Nchindo John Bosco opened scores for the baby lions 23 minutes into the game, but Congo grabbed the Equalizer five minutes later from the penalty spot through Jean Louamba.

Alioum Moubarak had a goal denied for an infringement on the Congolese goalkeeper, Abraham Diakité.

A one all score seperated both sides at the break.

Cameroon again took the lead at the 58 minute of the game, as Séverin Rodriguez Onana’s 35 yard free kick got goalkeeper Abraham Diakité beaten.

Franck Thierry Etouga Mballa came off the bench to make it 3#1 for Ousmanou Christophe’s side, at the 78 minute of play.

The win means Cameroon’s U20 lions have qualified for the semi finals of the competition, as they currently top pool B with four points.

In their first group game played on Tuesday, the U20 lions drew one all against baby Leopards of DR Congo.

The five nation zonal tournament serves as qualifiers for the U-20 Africa Cup of nations scheduled for Mauritania next year.
